Confidentiality Policy

Information disclosed in session is protected by law and confidential, therefore, information can only be disclosed if a written consent is provided by the client.​

Exception of confidentiality:

• If child abuse, dependent adult or elder abuse is suspected or reported, I am required by law to report these incidents to the proper authorities immediately.​ 

• If a client discloses that s/he intends or threatens bodily harm to another person, I must inform the police and the identified victim.

• If a client reports s/he intends to harm himself or herself, after risk assessment, it may be determined that the client needs psychiatric intervention. ​
