I’m an African American Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, proudly born, raised, and practicing in Richmond, California.
I specialize in working with adults through individual therapy and bring over 16 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and adolescents across diverse communities. My work is deeply client-centered and collaborative—grounded in the belief that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Every client’s experience is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs, life experiences, and cultural context.
I have a particular passion for working with people of color and creating a space where cultural identity and lived experiences are understood and respected. Many of my clients seek support for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based techniques to help clients explore patterns, build coping tools, and move toward real, lasting change.
My therapeutic style is relaxed, interactive, and grounded in cultural awareness. I use empathy, directness, and a bit of humor to create an environment that feels supportive and real. With genuine, unbiased support, I aim to help you strengthen your sense of self, reduce stress, and move toward meaningful growth and healing.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Ethnic Studies, and later completed my Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Children—both from California State University, Sacramento. I am licensed through the Board of Behavioral Sciences-License #94913 Consultation Group Affiliations: Black Therapist Connect (BTC)
